Ole Miss gets tons of Highland Park kids now. They mostly suck but come from a lot of money. Well played ole miss

HP is feeding their bottom kids to SEC schools with a vengeance. Outside of A&M, I would assume either Ole Miss or UGA get the most. Arkansas gets the most Dallas overrun I think, but not sure if HP kids go to Arky?

Had quite a few HP guys in my fraternity. They came from money but were all good guys.

No one outside of Dallas knows what Highland Park ("The Bubble") is in reference to.

Honestly I think all of the SEC schools get a lot of rich kids, because financially responsible parents understand there's less of a point these days to get their wallets bent over for college tuition. Plus kids see college football as an integral part of the college experience.

Relatively speaking no, Ole Miss isn't "rich". There's plenty of rich kids there, but I don't think that makes the university loaded. When I think rich, I think multiple PAC 12 and Big 10 schools, SMU, Vanderbilt, Texas, Washington and Lee, etc

Ole Miss gets the kids whose dad owns TWO chainsaw shops. State gets the kids whose dad only owns one.

I wouldn't say tons. You get the bottom tier and it's not a large percentage. Texas, SMU and the ivies get tons

We get more than any SEC school and even we don't get tons

Ole Miss people have met a kid or two from HP. That means "tons". Hell, we get a few HP kids at Arkansas but who gives a shite?

Ole Miss is a desperate place full of desperate people.

When your only other options are Nacadoches or Denton, Oxford is the best college town on earth.

Basically all the kids I've met at Ole Miss or who went to Ole Miss are from suburbs in Texas like The Woodlands, Cypress, Katy, Colleyville, Plano, Boerne, Cedar Park or Atlanta suburbs I know nothing about. Nice places to live and grow up but far from old money or anything like that.

If they had gone to Texas or A&M like most wanted they wouldn't be all about the super Old South and old money image, but I get they embrace it because it's part of the school culture.

The ideal and image they are desperate to project isn't about old money as much as it is about "old racism".

When "Ole Miss people" start talking about "Ole Miss people", they only mean white kids who are in the greek system. The Square is implicitly only for white people.

If there was any substantial amount of money at Ole Miss, yesterday or today, they wouldn't have one of the lowest endowments in the SEC. And their endowment number counts their medical school, just like their enrollment figures do.

By every measure, Ole Miss is one of the poorer institutions in the SEC. They're just desperate to not be perceived as such.

I've found that closet racists always call other people racists and look for any reason to bring race into a conversation.

That are too dumb to go to A&M or ut.

Your school is literally held up by out of state kids who can't get into their home school or want to get away to party.

Their graduates do not get higher paying jobs on average. Supporting the school means coming back every year to tailgate for a game.

Ole Miss has pretty women who aren't very bright with daddy issues.
These tend to attract cruits.
