funny you mention that. I was living in Tuscon Arizona when LSU traveled to play U of A, 10 or so years ago. I attended the game with my girlfriend, who was a Arizona graduate. She knew I went to school at Ole Miss, and we both got a kick out of the Tiger fan holding up a sign that said GO TO HELL OLE MISS in the visitors section. She also giggled when the whole 8000 LSU section screamed GO TO HELL OLE MISS, immediately following the national anthem.

Honestly, this is so funny and stupid. According to the rant LSU has no rivals and we have been on the decline for 10 years so worry about your OWN rivals!!!

Funny you mention that too, I was there as well and don't remember that.
But even if it did happen, that was in 2003 when Ole Miss and LSU were the two top contenders in the West. Remember when Eli tripped? So it makes sense emotions for Ole Miss were high that year. If Arkansas and LSU were top contenders for the West, I'm sure there'd be a lot more animosity for them as well.
Since then, Bama has hired our old coach and dominated the SEC and Texas A&M has joined the SEC, a team we have a more recent rivalry game with. Also, Ole Miss had the Orgeron years and were completely forgotten for several years when discussing the SEC and National conversation.
And it still stands that I promise you, in my generation, Ole Miss people hate LSU far more than the other way around. My LSU student friends were basically indifferent about Ole Miss, much like they are about Arkansas. My Ole Miss student friends loathed every thing LSU. It was their clear most hated opponent, and still is.

LSU doesn't have a rivalry now that Tulane is history. Nor does Arkie. You can go over teams "rivals" and never see LSU or Arkie listed. Is, was and always will be:
Bama-auburn
Georgia-gt
Florida-florida state
Texas-texas a&m ( even if they don't play)
Mizzou-kansas
Tennessee-vandy
South car.-clemson
Ole miss- state
I think cbs tried to make LSU-Arkie one due to the border and honestly neither had a true rival. Especially on rivalry weekend. LSU lists bama right now but only because of Saban. That game meant nothing before Saban or was on the level of ole miss. They'll tell u different but there was very little history between the two until saban. Still isn't a huge deal in Alabama. Never will be. U can lose to LSU as the bama coach. You can not lose to auburn and keep your job.
