I can't believe Mullens is wanting the early signing period

If I was a coach, I would want early signing, limited contact, and a month of dead period in summer. Recruiting is just getting ridiculous.

He wants his time soaking in the sun with his wife. In all honesty though. These coaches do need some time off for crying out loud. Not sure 4 weeks is the answer. I know they make a lot of money, but damn this recruiting and coaching is becoming a 24 hr/ 365 Day affair. Everyone deserves a break.
Coaches can take a break from recruiting any time they want - that's up to them. But, to try to force other coaches that are busting their butts everyday for their programs just because you don't want someone else to out work you is ridiculous.

If Mullen wants to soak up sun with the wife & kids - have at it. But WTF stop the rest of the SEC coaches from working while your arse chooses to lay out on the beach?

That picture belongs on the Chive... Let's not get off topic.... If you were an MSU fan would that article not depress you? Your head coach does an interview where he basically states that he can't keep up with other coaching staffs when it comes to recruiting ... All this after you just built the guy a multimillion $ sports and football complex ... SMH

This. Always recruiting 2.5 years out. Never a break. Preparation for the next season starts as soon as one season ends.

Calm down... it's just the four weeks that the pony shuts down. All the talent leaves the golden triangle.

So you're saying if you were a coach you would want to make millions of dollars a year while doing a lot less work and having less responsibility ?!? Shocking

^^This is why the SEC is the best of the best. The elite coaches in the conference KNOW what it takes to win consistantly at a championship level. It takes a relentless approach, and they get paid handsomely to produce.

Some coaches have come to this conference in the past and either haven't been able, willing, or knowledgeable to do what it takes to prepare their team for competition in the SEC. I think we know where those coaches are today - either sitting at the bottom of the conference or unemployed.

We all know the names of previous SEC head coaches coaches who recruited with Mullen's lazy arse mindset.

Ole Miss fans are just jealous that Mullen actually goes to a higher end vacation spot in Georgia during the offseason, instead of eating meximelts while smallmouth bass fishing at Bay Springs lake like that skoal bandit dipping ginger they hired.. Poor POS

Add Tubbs to that list. (He did fine up until one little man came back to the conference.)
