There are a few items that were not addressed in your stadium revenue study with regard to BDS.

(1)The minimum donation required for a box applies to all of the 159 boxes and not just the ones added with the north and south endzone expansions.

(2) there are 2 field level boxes in the south endzone that include 350 club seats that are open for corporate function lease on a per game basis.

(3) the randum chair back seating is an option that can be added to any Tide Pride seat license. The added cost is well worth the charge as it locks your seat space to prevent encroachment by those sitting near by.

(4) other than faculty seating, A club seating, student seating, visitor seating and the low level sideline seating (in gray on the chart you linked) - all other seating in BDS requires the purchase of a Tide Pride seating license.

(5) with the completion of the south endzone expansion, the season ticket waiting list dropped from 15,000 to just under 10,000. This past season the waiting list has now moved up to 20,000. I doubt the "high prices" of the tickets in BDS will be dropping any time soon.

You seem to be beating your chest a lot about Arkansas and their facilities and downing Missouri as much as you can. But I need to say one thing: Show us your trophy case, and no I'm not asking to see your 3 SEC West Championship Banners. So come on, let's see it.

We are upgrading the stadium immediately.

I hear that you guys, and A&M too, aren't happy about having to provide additional seats for visiting fans. The Big XII required only 4,000 seats for visitors, but the SEC mandates at least 7,000, with a certain number being in the lower level (if the stadium has an upper deck).

first of all, stadium smack is ghey as hell.

second when we joined the SEC we accepted this as a challenge on all levels. We look forward to upping our game in every aspect. Not that we are weak to the point of embarrasment as you all would suggest, but constant improvement and striving for excellence in every aspect is what this move is all about. We look forward to more and better seating at Faruot, you will like Mizzou Arena alot.

Look forward to our first SEC game it will be mind bending to see my Tigers playing the Bulldogs, a team I also rooted for since I grew up in Jawja.

I agree, We need a pretty big renovation project, or possibly a new stadium, to catch up with the rest of the SEC.

Mike Alden already said that the plans for it might be introduced this year; they haven't decided yet.

One thing I'd like is if we fixed the parking problem so people don't have to walk a mile to get to the stadium.

Also, another change that I'd like is if the field were lowered and we got rid of the track on the field.

Other than that, RockM needs to go to provide more seats. If we do build a new stadium, make the seats much closer than what they are now and use multiple decks.

I would like to see seats all over the M endzone and a deck added on the side opposite the press box with suites between the two. Have no numbers close at hand but that would get us a shite ton more seats and well into the upper half of league schools in terms of capacity.

Even if we just removed the rock M for seats and added suites like planned, that would go a long way towards making the stadium better. I think Alden has said 85k is the goal.

MU presently has a very nice stadium IMO - at least aesthetically for those who have actually visited.

Now obviously it lags behind the bigger stadiums like Tenn, Florida, Bama, LSU, UGA in both atmosphere (because of the fans) and size (because it is probably 30K smaller).

But really I think they have pretty straightforward ways of fixing the stadium size issue. At present they have their luxury boxes and press facilities on the west side of the stadium (the raised part in the bottom of the picture).

IMO they just need to:

1) Close in the North side of the stadium with proper stands (where at present there is grass seating). This will add seats and close in the stadium to better hold crowd noise.
2) Build luxury boxes on the East side of the stadium to match the luxury boxes on the West side. Make those available to visiting fans at a premium (as well as seats in the newly constructed North endzone area).

They really don't have a major problem that can't be fixed.

RE: parking? Parking is a major issue at every college football venue I can think of. It probably just isn't worth the expense of building new parking garages unless they will also be regularly filled by MU students or patients of the hospital/medical school just north of the stadium.

possible but maybe Mizzou has a deal with Apple to provide computers for students?

My high school had a deal with Toshiba back in the day and damn near everyone on campus with a laptop used that deal to get one.

You'll learn, you'll learn.

Stadium/facilities smack is one of the 5 axis' of smack in the SEC. Your facilities are a direct result of your financial situation and fan support, why it's important is that it is a big factor in the other axis' of smack, recruiting, coaching, team play/history, and game day atmosphere.

Mizzou you are in for a long rough road. I think the school and the athletic teams will adjust much quicker than their yankee fans.

Dear Mizzou's,

Arkansas has been getting stadium bullied around here for as long as they have joined the sec. They need to pass the torch. So oblige them as they need to take this frustration out on someone.

MS State simply thinks cowbells make a stadium nicer so dont try to deflect there. KY doesnt care as they only care about roundball. Vandy... come to think about it, is anyone here on TD a Vandy fan that can take the abuse.... Didnt think so. So your stuck with it as the new guy.

Deal with it.
