Drinkwitz did a hell of a job putting his coaching staff together. He will do it again. And next year we will lose our OC, and Drink will replace him.

There was a time when no one wanted our coaches.

I mean Baker was given an extension, Mizzou fans here celebrated, and then Mizzou was willing to pay him even more than the extension he had just signed yet now we are told he isn't that great.

Where is the source of that? No one has the same story. Some say Mizzou was willing to pay $2.2 million. Others say Mizzou was willing to match. Others say Mizzou was willing to pay more.

Which is it? Who are the sources of these claims?

Whichever city the University of Missouri is in, it probably doesn’t make any coach feel like they are in a football town.

I bet it doesn’t sit over 70,000.

Thanks for the coaches tho!
Thanks for the extra tv sets*!

It just means they can take your coaches whenever they want.

Like I said, the St Louis Post Dispatch.

I'm sorry all of this is shitting on your narrative.

You know what else it means?

Either Kelly is a shite evaluator of coaching talent, or there is something fundamentally flawed in Kelly’s organization that House forgot how to run a defense.

I mean Jayden Daniels was going to Mizzou until LSU decided they wanted him.

And they did take Mekhi Wingo.

Just poach them back. A&M and LSU poach each other all the time. Welcome to the club. Want their track coach, buy him.

Yes, we know Daniels made a poor decision.

Contract extension was done in December before the bowl games.

Won the Heisman and will be a high draft pick.

Meh.

Congrats on aiming for the stars. You too may get a #33 defense.

LSU would have its 4th different coach hoisting a championship in the last 20 years if we did.

Just out of curiosity, can LSU fans explain why House’s defense dropped off from #32 in the nation in 2022? Did he get dumber in the off season?

He had a defense ranked higher than what Baker accomplished.

Could it be the lack of talent on the LSU defense? They had to grab five corner transfers in the off season. Then you lost your best safety to brain cancer.

Then because of a lack of experienced secondary players, House had to shift to soft zone coverage and simplified the playbook.

The LSU DL had trouble generating pressure on the QB needed.

LSU has a severe talent deficit on the defense left by Orgeron. One that Baker isn’t going to be able to fix before next year.

So I’m going to just sit back and laugh at the stupid LSU fans come fall when they are crying again about their defense because they think recruit rankings mean they have talent.

You are so mad right now.

I'm not sure that you and TrueLefty will survive the offseason.

You do when you know he was a one year rental and you have administration support to expand the salary pool of coaches for future replacement. Baker was never expected to stay beyond 2024 as he wants to be a head coach.

LOL, not mad at all. It’s going to be a lot of fun next fall with these posts bookmarked.

Your problems on defense are a lack of talent. It will be fun to see if you guys start blaming Baker or finally wake up.

Y’all keep saying this like LSU doesn’t get substantially better players than Missouri…

If Baker doesn't work out, we'll just take your next guy, if he's any good.

Fun Fact:
Alabama has played, but never beaten:

1) Central Florida - 2000
2) Utah - 2008
3) Northern Illinois - 2003
4) Minnesota - 2004
5) Oklahoma State - 2006

Hey, this is a fun game.
