That's why I think he has the potential to be the best in the league, but Im reserving judgement after one great game last year sandwiched between many games of mediocrity, along with the aforementioned cupcake games this season.

He is most definitely top 5, his accuracy and decision making are lightyears better than last year

True but you can't blame LSU fans for being optimistic. In years past we couldn't even do it against the cupcakes. And don't act like Mett doesn't know about playing in big games. He torched Bama last year and was pretty good in every game after that minus the Clemson shite fest. Things get drastically harder from here on out but no one can deny he's made some pretty big improvements.

This. The fact that LSU seems to have an above average QB vs a below average is exciting. Can't wait for him to have a good game vs Auburn and people say "well Auburn is a cupcake", then a good game vs. UGA and people say "well UGA has a terrible defense", then Miss St. and people say "well Miss St. is a cupcake" and so on and so forth.
