It is funny that many fanbases out there think LSU fans are putting all their stock in Mett, that he is going to be some kind of savior. Actually all we are putting our stock in is that he can actually execute a downfield pass and keep the defense honest....while being a little better than JJ. That isn't asking very much, and is frankly all that is needed.

JJ took a ton of sacks in his career and sucked. even if mett was just ok he would be a huge step above jj who couldn't stay on the bucs longer than a crippled kid.

I don't know about Mett, but Jordan Jefferson was very overrated in my book. The first LSU game I ever saw in my life was last year's Arkansas game. Jefferson looked like the next Cam Newton in that game. He carved that Razorback defense up.

He hasnt played any significant time yet. I would say we can determine that 3-4 games into the season.

He hasn't ever been mentioned in any All-SEC discussions. I don't think ESPN had him in the top half of the SEC in their position rankings. I'm not sure how he can be overrated when he isn't even rated. You hear his name a lot because he is the QB at LSU. Same reason you heard Jefferson's name a lot.

miles really should have gave mett more reps last year but he couldn't stand not playing his bf jj.
Its one of the few mistakes miles made last year was not prepping mett with more game time. It wont matter since mett is a beast
