Is LSU's optimism a bit weird?

I mean, they're probably gonna lose by multiple TDs on Saturday. The stuff I'm reading on here is weird.

I'm sure it seems weird for a Gamecock fan. Grabbing the ankles is just another weekend on the gridiron for Carolina.

I get being a fan, but this is just a bit too rosy even while "being a fan".

Y'all literally said this each of the last 3 times LSU has played at home. LSU will play them close by virtue of this being a home game.

I'll tell you what was weird, watching your coach quit mid-season last year after getting his brains stomped out in Tiger Stadium.
OBC just said, frick it after all those seasons in the SEC. That was weird.

Were you optimistic about SC beating good teams back when SC was good?

Alabama always beats us by multiple touchdowns in Baton Rouge. 2002 feels like yesterday.

I don't think it's really optimism. I think it more has to do with the whole threads are anchored after a week thing. It is impossible to bump great old threads

You're right. It's absolutely unimaginable that a 7 point underdog playing at home in a night game could possibly win the game against a team starting a true freshman QB. Start more threads great job

I don't think so. LSU defense is legit! If they can contain Bama offense and keep it close, they have a pretty good chance of winning. A single costly mistake can turn a game by 14 points.

The professionals in Vegas think differently... but what do they know compared to you

Exactly. LSU's chances at winning are their defense holding Alabama to 20 or less, which is what they are capable of doing. On top of that, don't let Alabama score on D/ST because that 20 turns into 27, and LSU cannot and will not score more than 27 on Alabama. LSU would have to win 20-17 or 21-20, something like that.
Head says Alabama 24-17, meeting you in the middle by calling for an Alabama takeaway deep in LSU's territory.
