Is it really overachieving when one of those titles came from falling arse backwards w/a two loss team into the BCS championship?
Its more like they've been extremely lucky to be right place, right time.
In fact, that's probably why the football gods took their GOAT team and fed it a loss to Bama in a rematch.
Same thing happened to Auburn when the football gods were like "Oh hell no, you can't keep winning with this bullshite." Have a loss to Jameis.

LSU is the only big school in the state with rich talent. How are you guys not the team to beat every year?
These teams have to fight other in state teams for recruits:
Alabama/Auburn
Ole Miss/Mississippi State
Texas A&M/Texas/TCU/Baylor
Florida/Florida State
South Carolina/Clemson
Georgia/Georgia Tech
Tennessee/Vanderbilt (not much excuse for tennessee either)
Kentucky/Louisville
That leaves:
LSU - tons of in-state talent, no other big schools
Arkansas - very small talent pool, low population. (The other states have cities with more people than our whole state)
Missouri - small talent pool, yankees, basketball school
Bad coaching?

LSU might be overachieving or they might be underachieving but they are for damn sure better off than anyplace Aggy has been in recent memory.

What about a team that has never won more than 10 games in a season nor a division title since 1992?

The only reason we won 9 this year is because we have "TWO" first round picks in Tunsil and Treadwell. If only our 3rd of the "big three" would have lived up to his potential instead of becoming a fourth round pick, we would have won the West. That spice can play tricks on you. Arkansas can thank the spice RN saw three ball carriers every snap and went after the wrong ones.
