You brag about beating us in football when you have more talent and we have Sumlin. What the hell is the difference? It's ok for you, but not us?

Rumlin isn't quite as bad as Johnny Jones and your football talent really isn't that bad.

Looks like it. It sure seems there is no smoke to feed any rumors about the trigger being pulled. It should have happened after last year. I'm beginning to wonder if they are hoping they can keep him on at least another year.

Why does LSU have more talent?

Texas: Population - 27,862,596 (2016 est)

Louisiana: Population - 4,681,666 (2015 est)

He is not being retained, just letting him coach out the season then make a move, probably lesser buyout is the reason. Top names would probably be Kermit Davis and Rick Stansbury if I had to guess.

Sumlin can coach basketball better than Jones can coach his way out of a paper bag. Not an even exchange, IMHO.

Srsly?! There's so much smoke you can't tell your arse from a hole in the ground.

He gone, sparky.

The only smoke you see is coming from the Rant. There are no media outlets even talking about about. Not one that I've seen anywhere. Nobody is asking jones about it at press conferences, no columnists speculation, no statements from the AD, nothing. If you've seen something, please show me. Post a link.

I was curious about how LSU fans felt. If he coached my team I would have wanted him gone.

Even Billy Kennedy, who won the SEC regular season last year has quite a few detractors in our fan base, and I am one of them.

coach jones deserves at least 3-4 more years to right the ship. he had a solid resume at north texas and has really done a nice job in baton rouge. hopefully our fans learned a lesson from firing coach miles too early.

Let's all just hope Chi-town cans Hoiberg and Alleva brings him down to BR to bring another NCAA team out of the dumpster.

i'll take coach jones over hoiberg. coach jones recruited all the great lsu players from the past. he will do the same for future lsu teams.
