What is the perception of LSU outside of the state of Louisiana?

The perception is LSU is a dirty program. I work with a diverse group (college wise) with grads from Texas to Notre Dame and a half dozen non SEC schools. LSU, Bama, and AU are all considered dirty programs as is the SEC as a whole.

There is an overwhelming perception the entire league cheats its arse off.

I've always been shocked that LSU has been able to win so consistently and stay so clean with the NCAA. I've got great respect for LSU's program.

Unlike certian blue/orange teams who seem to be good hiding their cheating from the NCAA.

From the various groups of peeps I have worked with LSU is def considered a clean program but if you think LSU doesn't have its share of 100 dollar handshakes you are being nieve(sp)

We are all a rouge booster or
shady tatoo parlor or startup sports agent from being considered a dirty program.

Never give a second thought to anything a Tenn fan says. Disregard immediately.

I don't perceive LSU as a dirty program and I hate LSU. I like and respect Les Miles...but hate LSU. It's just a rivalry thing. But a dirty program, no.

The frick? Are we talking about Tennessee or Texas? I've only seen UT so assuming La is closer to Texas than Tennessee I assumed we were talking about Texas.

I would guess Texas. I have a couple of Texas alums I talk college football with regularly and I can promise most Texas alums think LSU is very dirty. Anyone who doesn't think so just does not know much about Texas fans. Many (or maybe most) A&M fans think LSU is dirty as well.

Disclaimer: I worked in Houston a large part of last year and was around UT, A&M, Baylor, and Texas Tech grads the entire time. All thought LSU was dirty, even the Baylor grad.

Texas is UT as well. Why any Tennessee fan would ever bitch about another school being another dirty just seems rather odd.

when i lived in Houston, we were hated there by the texas figs. most of the texas fans are fricking pussies. LSU carries its weight pretty well in houston. I think it has more to do with the Louisiana people than the program. I was told by a U texas girl, you all the cockiest group I ever seen in houston.

Yeah, I can attest that alums from a lot of the texas schools are not too fond of LSU. Esp A&M and UT. Prob runs both ways though.

some of it has to do with the academics. Even though in terms of petroleum engineering, LSU and A&M are tops in the country.
