Y'all ain't running the table. The one year you all did you failed in your backyard in the ncg. I mean failed horribly. Worst national championship game EVER!

not even in the top 3 worst BCSCGs games Oklahoma-USC 2004, Miami-Nebraska 2001 and Bama-Nd 2012 were all a lot worse and that's just off the top of my head.

nobody is saying win the NC, but when you're being picked 4th or 5th in the west thats something else.

Well, this year 4th or 5th in the West doesn't really make you a bad team.

Take the idea that the winner of the Iron Bowl is unbeaten and the loser has 1 loss. Then say LSU is 5th in the West, well say Ole Miss lost to Bama, that team in blue/orange, and they're 10-2. Then same for the Bulldogs, except they lose to Ole Miss. They're 9-3. Then LSU loses to the 4 ahead of em. 8-4.

That's a very special set of circumstances though, and not likely. I didn't even consider OOD play, because I don't know who the MS schools have this year. But then if they all win their post season games you're looking at:

1. Winner of the Iron Bowl (15-0)
2. Loser of the Iron Bowl (12-1)
3. Ole Miss (11-2)
4. Mississippi State (10-3)
5. LSU (9-4)

I don't think it shakes out like that, I'm just coming up with a scenario that makes 5th in the West now that bad. I mean a 9 win team who has 4 losses to top 10 teams, including the National Champion, that seems pretty stout.

But that won't happen. I can't reiterate that enough. I just came up with a linear scenario to illustrate my point.

i dont think we will either but make no mistake about it, lsa and bama 2011 were the two best college football teams of the last ten years. you on the other hand, embarassed the conference with your performance against a weak arse pac 10 team.

Similar to Alabama in 2010 when the top five teams in the West were ranked in the top 15

Maybe not but i just don't see the logic in picking a team that won ten games and is bringing back 14 starters and the #2 class as finishing behind teams that won 7 or 8 games last year and don't have near that level of talent coming back or coming in via recruiting. That just doesn't make any sense.

people are assuming harris will be the guy and that's far from official. Jennings is a sophomore and will almost certainly get the first look. A redshirt freshman won the heisman last year. Not saying Jennings will win the heisman, just pointing out that his age is probably not going to be a factor.

And also Alabama is going to be starting a young QB too and are bringing back fewer starters than LSU yet nobody has a problem picking Bama to be a top 2 or 3 team. There's just no consistency there at all.

LSU was up 21-0 ( ) at halftime of that game. The score ended up 35-21 and you're telling me they were 3-4 plays from being undefeated?

I mean technically that can be done, but let's be realistic here Snackfood. I refuse to call you Chex Mix.

Take away the fumbled snap, the reversed onside kick , and the KO return for TD and we are undefeated. If i were to get the luxury of a fourth play it would be the fake punt. Four plays, undefeated

LSU beat you, it wasn't a good game. Bama should have never lost that game, complete one in a million fluke. Sorry, just the way it is.

Sure. If you just add three miraculous touchdowns against LSU, they win. Then against FSU they intercept the last pass.

Voila. Undefeated. (Although a dubious honor, because Alabama was a mere 3 plays from being undefeated - intercept Nick Marshall's last TD pass, and two touchdowns against OU).
