I have tried to sell so many friends on Phish, but realize that the only way to do so is to bring them to a concert. Their happiness and overall energy on stage is absolutely contagious. I have friends that hate that genre of music, but love going with me to Phish shows. They are all amazing musicians.

Kanye West probably can't play a guitar. And could try for the rest of his life and wouldn't be as good as the Phish guys. But he is really really good at making....whatever he makes....sound awesome.

Ya, the concert experience is what sells it to most people. Anyone who says they are not amazing musicians is trolling or very unknowledgeable.

I like being happy as much as the next guy. But the idea of looking at a happy guy on a stage to make me happy is creepy. Going somewhere to be happy with thousands of other happy people is also creepy.
