I'm not understanding the newfound love for Kiffin.

Lane Kiffin is ethically challenged and has proven to be a failure as a head coach. He's a nonstarter.

Wate until after this year and see where he is.
Rather have him than Lyle or GusBus right now.

Lane kiffen is Petrino level slimy! How do you not see this? Are you a con artist yourself??

Y'all don't get it. Lane was not fired because he is a terrible play caller. Lane was fired because he is an immature twat that was causing issues behind the scenes. He was terrible at QB development as evidenced by the fact he had 1 five star and two five star QB who were passed by a true freshman who couldn't throw a pass last year accurately and up until the sec championship had more fumbles than people care to remember. He put it in the deck at least three times in the Auburn game alone. Lane simply called plays that utilized his athletic ability. Hurts never improved over the course of the season. Lane will be a terrible HC until he grows up and learns a little humility.

It speaks volumes about how far this once great conference has fallen.

Ethically challenged yes, but do we really know if he's been a failure as a HC in college yet?
He had a mess to clean up in Knoxville and the NCAA had just hammered USC when he got there. He still finished #6 in the AP poll one year before the scholarship restrictions really took their impact. He left both jobs with winning records.

As much as I want Trump to succeed, this sounds like you are referring to the President

Kiffin can't get a big job because he's a shitty person people don't like, not coaching.

Kiffin at Ole Miss would be awesome. I think they should throw the bank at him once they get to a point where they aren't reeling from an NCAA investigation and their coach resigning for making calls to prossies

We already had this guy at Arkansas. Went under the alias "Bobby Petrino".
Switched to "Joey Freshwater" after the motorcycle wreck.

He's toxic. So what if he can call plays, you have to manage a staff and recruit and manage/mentor kids.
Guess what I would do if I didn't know how to manage a staff, or recruit, or manage/mentor kids. Guess what Kirby Smart would do. Or Will Muchamp.
"While coaching in Toledo, Saban turned down an application from future NCAA multiple national championship head coach Urban Meyer, who was looking for any coaching job on Saban's staff."[58]
Give me Kiffin all day long. The dude would do work at Arkansas. If the boosters want to prove to the fanbase they want to win football games they'll pay the buyout and get Lane Kiffin. There's not a lot of people I'd want over the fat man. He's one of them.

Lane Kiffin is a dumpster fire.
I don't think Saban would give him a good reference.
Stories of him having to get IVs the morning of the Semi-Final Game against Washington because he was so hungover/drunk.He was dismissed after that game.
An SEC School won't turn over their Team to someone like that.It would destroy a Team. Not sure Tenn. has recovered yet.

Lane is a good play caller and a good recruiter. He sucks at every other aspect of being a head coach. And every other aspect of being a head coach are the important aspects.
If you want him as an OC, he's fine. I, personally, hate his offense, but you can't say it isn't successful.

Just remember that this doesn't come with the Freshwater package anymore.

He has screwed over every employer he's had, I believe. Including the Raiders (no small feat) and even his own fellow staff at USC under Carroll.
He's like a dog's hard dick that with hump anything without compunction. Give him a scent and he'll come running.
