Then you're saying it's the body of work...
yes I am. There would be more than 4 teams ahead of LSU on body of work.

Based on the first release they aren't going to reward a strong finish or penalize a late loss.
Body of work.

What kind of a comment would you expect from a moostate/gump fan...been a loser for so long, he has to have an extra team to pull for since his team is only relevant once every century...

LSU lost a game by 30+ points. We will not be in any rational discussion on this subject, nor do we deserve to be. We can still have opinions on this process right?

While attending Bama, I witnessed 3 BCS championships. More than any other person can say about their college tenure at any school.
And now while attending MSU for graduate school, the Bulldogs are ranked number 1 in the first playoff rankings in CFBS history.
Yeah, I'm just starving for success man.

Not so fast my friend! LSU is not "terrible." Granted, they were "terrible" earlier in the season but right now they are playing very, very well on both sides of the football. Alabama game will/should be another epic battle. There is lot of football left to be played in SEC. Let's just enjoy the show shall we.....
BTW: IF.... SEC West ends up in tie-breaker w multiple teams having 2 losses (including LSU) guess who goes to the ship?

Normally... in every other sport, they are measuring via a playoff system, which team is strongest at the end of the year... not the beginning, obviously. But D1 football, has to choose 4 teams... If they are choosing the four best teams, wouldn't that mean they want the four best teams at the end of the year? If so, and a blind man can see where this one is going, after LSU wins out, shouldn't they be in Final Four... Especially if Miss State and Auburn win out? LSU is a much different team than they were earlier in year...
It's about entire body of work.
LSU has no business making the playoff unless they win the SEC.

To answer this question, I'd like to know your thoughts on bama getting a rematch in '11.
You didn't ask me, but LSU and Bama were the two best teams. I would have left Bama out because they lost to the BCSCG opponent during the regular season. In Tuscaloosa. The winner between two evenly matched teams is at a disadvantage during a rematch. That's why I would have given some other 1-loss team a shot.
Now, if LSU had lost during the regular season, I would obviously think that was complete bullshite.

Say friend, why don't you send me your mailing address so that I can send you some info on the great post-graduate offerings at LSU.

I've had the same comment from a few people. State fans wanting me to get my PhD.
I'll be moving west to Colorado (for work, not school). So watch out for the Buffaloes.
