Improvement is a relative term. Yes, we are much better than last year -- but we are still well below where we expect to be longterm. We lost 3 more scholarship players this year, including what would have been our best shooting guard and 2nd string center. While we could easily end up winning 16-17 this year on the shittiness of our schedule and the league alone, that doesn't get our jollies off after averaging 21 against better schedules for the previous 20 years and practically always being on the NCAA bubble.

Basically, this year and last year are free passes to rebuild an inherited total dumpster fire. Next year, expectations go back to previous levels -- and we'll either be in contention for the NCAA's -- or we will be looking for a new coach.
