So choose. You want sacred games or balanced divisions? Because the conference schedule sucks the way it is.
Like I said earlier...the fix is a nine game schedule. Not only does it fix the problem of going to Nashville only once out of every 12 years, it improves everyone's SOS and helps eliminate FCS games. Two rotating opponents and you play every other cross division team twice in six years. That's enough.

Jesus Christ, do you guys do anything besides bitch about the fricking schedule?

I'll take the tradition every time.
LSU fans really can't bitch about scheduling this year... or any year for that.

We play South Carolina in 2020. I don't know if you were going for some sort of exaggeration or what, but five years from now ain't exactly an excessive amount of time.

Congrats on needing a trick play to beat a team without its starting qb and with a first year head coach.

I love this thread every year.
I also support TSIO. Not because of how they try to sell it to us- it simply isn't a game that matters.
I support it because that is what Bama wants, and I would rather give them that over their own network or some other ego play.

When you have no real tradition you don't understand.
LSU's traditional rival is/was Tulane. LSU's dominance became so overwhelming, Tulane is now irrelevant. Alabama can't say the same about Auburn or Tennessee. To me, Ole Miss is a bigger rival than Alabama.
No one outside of the fanbases involved think that UAT vs UTK is anything other than a regular game.
LSU physically murdered the Bear. You can never take that away from LSU. To their credit, Alabama rebounded but had to sell their souls to hire a Scoundrel. Even Tulane didn't stoop that low.

I agree, but I kind of like playing LSU every year, so I am OK with whatever. It is normally a great game like last night. I miss having Auburn as a regular game though because it was a great rivalry as well with some epic battles.

Yes. This needs to be ditched. Give us Auburn and move Mizzou to the West where they belong. It makes way too much sense though.
UT and Bama can play each other as an OOC game if they want too.

LSU beats Florida
LSU fans wake up Sunday and post about Bama's schedule
You all should really pay rent to Saban

My God Almighty! Not even 12 hours after winning a huge rivalry game and LSU fan wakes up with Bama's schedule on their brain?

It's time to fix the SEC insane schedule, yes. Mizzou has been in the SEC going on four years now and still hasn't played at/home vs LSU.
As it stands now, LSU won't play South Carolina again for 17 years.
Agree. And, is that correct that LSU and SoCar don't play for another 17 years?
There are only two solutions: 1) conferences need to be at 12 teams
2) conferences go to 16 teams, no more than one out of conference games, with as many rivalries as possible subsumed into the conferences, ie: GaTech would move to the SEC and UGA/GT could still play each year.
I'd rather see option 1. Goodbye Vandy, Goodbye Ole Miss.

Blame your own ADs/Coaches for not supporting 9 game SEC schedule. Saban/Alabama supported this. Id love to be able to play UGA more often BUT I wouldnt trade that for losing the UT game.
If UT was at 90s level strength right now, you wouldnt hear a peep from LSU fans.
