After today's events it appears we about to enter into another long offseason of potential changes in conference affiliation. So what say you rant, is the SEC going to get involved or does anyone even really care?

UA/AU to the east. Solves all rivalry issues, which is the most important. Mizzou/UK or Vandy to the west.

Im ok with UA/AU to join us in the east as long as UA still keeps LSU as a scheduled game

IF league kept 1 permanent interdivision game it might still be LSU/UF...but with major realignment that might change. LSU/UA would be a good option.

Just half way serious man. Everyone talks about importance of rivalries and that alignment solves this perfectly...yet it will never happen.

That being said, Mizzou in the East is an absurdity but I'm not sure what the good option is.

Georgia Tech vying for a Big 10 spot.

Florida State Pres committed to the sinking ship that is the ACC.

With the latest contract ACC let it be known they are a hoops first conference (which is why FSU and some others got ticked). I'd imagine any departures will get filled with hoops programs. FSU...they had their chance, eff them, imo.

Yeah, Missouri is a hard one to place tho - geography makes you think they should be playing teams like Arky, KY, Tenn, and Vandy (and maybe A&M because of some common history).. and right now more of those teams in are in the SEC East than the West

Gulf region division. Let's see, that would be A&M, LSU, OM, MSU, UA, AU, UF. Hell, I don't know.

You are in the SEC, we don't care about anything the other Jr. Conferences do except in March.

Just as an exercise I wonder who are the top 5 teams most fans would like to see their team keep playing every year in the SEC?

maybe something like

Bama: Auburn, Tennessee, LSU, Ole Miss, ?
Auburn: Bama, UGA, LSU, Florida, Ole Miss?
Tennessee: Bama, Florida, UGA, Vandy?, ?
Florida: Georgia, Tennessee, LSU?, South Carolina?, Kentucky?
Georgia: Florida, Tennessee, Auburn, South Carolina?, ?
Arkansas: LSU, Texas A&M, South Carolina, Missouri, ?
LSU: Ole Miss?, Bama, Florida, Texas A&M, ?
Ole Miss: LSU?, MSU?, Bama?, Auburn?
MSU: Ole Miss, SEC West?
Missouri: Arkansas, Texas A&M, Kentucky?, Tennessee? Vanderbilt?
Texas A&M: LSU, Arkansas, Missouri?, ?
South Carolina: Georgia?, Tennessee? Florida? Arkansas?
Kentucky: SEC East?
Vanderbilt: Tennessee, SEC East?

For me, A&M, AU, UF, UA in that order.

I'm surprised Ole Miss isn't worth a mention at #5? Just don't care about an outdated rivalry?

Not if they are going to almost beat us when they 'shouldn't' even be in the game.
