This thread is stupid.
1) Alabama fans didn't join in the fun to be allies with UF. They just saw the easy opportunity to blast LSU and that is expected and appreciated.
2) UT fans aren't really LSU's allies either. They just saw an easy opportunity to reverse cowboy any LSU fan that would buy them a shot of Strawberry Hill for their butt funnels. Wait, that's DP isn't it?

Bama and UF are not allies. We just have a strong working relationship, because having joint custody of Tennessee for a decade required us to work together for the sake of the little orange child.

Bama fans are probably the single most apathetic group out of all of this. We honestly don't give one iota how this was setup.
Personally, I would have preferred them move the SECCG up a week so that neither team had to give anything up, but I presume the logistics of that would have been brutal. It's not like the pre-SECCG days, where if a game got rescheduled you would just tack it on at the end of the year.

No. Not really. It is, however, safe to say that UT has pretty much given up hope of beating Bama this week, thus giving you 2 conference losses, and because of this UT fans are aligning themselves with LSU fans in a desperate suck up/hope fest that LSU will beat UF and insure UT's place in the SECCG
