Florida - recent football national titles, Tebow Heisman, Spurrier, coaching legend, Meyer, coaching legend.

Basketball - recent national titles, hall of fame coach in Donovan who has made the NBA leap and done pretty well, good up and coming young coach in White

Baseball - National Title

Good in minor sports.

I'm not sure there's any comparison. Championships in the Big 3 in the last decade alone, plus strong women's teams as well. Florida's the best department in the conference and probably east of California these days (those Pac schools with their Olympic sports can at least make an argument)

They've got the best AD for sure.
UGA tried to be slick and hire their assistant AD- it ain't working.

Yea depends on how you determine the sports that matter. The SEC/ACC/PAC care about baseball, while the B1G cares about wrestling/Lacrosse/Hockey now. OSU is good in wrestling and lacrosse and actually won the Men's Capital One Cup (first time I can remember them winning).

Only negatives would be Zook hire - wasn't a total disaster as he at least brought in talent to fuel Meyer's early success.

McElwain - shark photo, I would say that hire is still a question mark, a little disappointed in his recruiting.

O'Sullivan probably should have another title in baseball but that is the one sport that is very unpredictable and you have to be hot at right time.

Pound for Pound they definitely are. Didn't their softball team play for the national title as well? Foley was a great AD.

Too bad they have this stupid fuch as a HC

Top to bottom athletic program almost certainly.

But I'll take being by far #1 in football and sucking in everything else to be honest.

There is only one measure of a NCAA program. Rather than explain, I'll ask a question that will make it all clear:

Would your SEC school, Florida, Aubie, A&M, etc for example, trade national class baseball, basketball, softball, etc., program success to be the biggest dog on the block, the "Alabama" of college football?

The answer for most people on this board is "yes" of course. The answer of "what benefits the U the most" is also yes. Therefore ... the all-dominant football program is actually the best "all around" program because no one really GAS about the rest of the sports in comparison.
