I hope not. The SEC doesn't need a C tier program from Georgia when we already have UGA.

I knew that the OP is terrible and I still clicked. I'm not as smart as I sometimes believe.

No And no and NO AND NO.

That ship (err wreck) sailed err eked away on its on accord in 1964.

They made a disastrous decision and it will stay that way.

Not many advantages if bringing Tech back from the dead. Take them just so that some other conference doesn't get them perhaps?

But one good thing is that you can always get a good ticket for cheap when your team plays them in Atlanta. This is a plus mainly for the teams that have fan bases who travel well.

UofSC would not be close to to a well funded GaTech. And SEC money and competition would give them the funds. They could recruit the ATL area and field a decent team most years. Money would mean facilities and staff upgrades pretty quickly and could bring them to middle of the pack in the east easily.

UofSC will be a perennial also ran swapping places with Vandy and Kentucky most years for the bottom rung in the east.

You have no fricking idea what you are talking about.

GTU already has basically double UGA's endowment.

GTU already tries to recruit the Atlanta area and fails. See below.

Their three* ACC championships are from 1990, 1998 (Split with FSU), and 2009 (vacated by NCAA), so they only have ONE sole claim to the ACC football title since they joined the ACC in 1979.

But hey, they got that half a natty from beating the 19th ranked team in the Citrus Bowl 31 years ago so they are basically a blue blood.
