Last night we took a commit from some scrub named Kameron Miles. No major SEC offers, no major in-state offers, that's a pretty big indicator for me.

What's Dooley's game here? Is he reaching for a "high ranked" guy to appease the fanbase?

We need actual players Derek, not ones that some website developers think can play.

Not sure of your intent on this post but the lack of offers from big name schools would be a conern IMO.

Perhaps there are grade or behavior issues. I don't really see either of those as a problem for UToof though.

No other major SEC teams have offered and UT and aTm didn't offer. I think that's what the hillbilly means.

I personally like the dig at Arky.

With Rice, Stanford, Northwestern and Vandy offers I would assume that grades are not an issue.

Well it's not like he committed to a major SEC school so I don't see the issue.

You should be thankful kids even accept an offer to play for that dumpster fire of a coach.

So he's from Texas, Texas hasn't offered, and he hasn't visited campus yet?

Doubtful it sticks.

The kid is big for a safety (six-three)
Penn State was recruiting him as a linebacker.
If he was he has Stanford,Vandy,Rice offers grades are not the issue.

What? Miles is a top 100 player in a position our team needs. I've been a critic of Dooley, too, but this seems a little silly.

The honey badger didn't receive any major offers until late. Be on the look out for this guy to have a chip on his shoulder

I always hear this, but I recall from his recruitment that he tore up our summer camp, but the consensus was that an offer was never given due to him being an LSU lock.

Honey Badger only got one major offer, and it was from LSU, and it was early (June before his senior year). He did blow up the UT camp (allegedly shut down Jarvis Landry and some other top WR), and supposedly Frank desperately wanted UT to offer him, but Ogre and Kiffin thought he was too small. If UT had offered back then he probably would have committed IMO, but would have eventually switched when Frank left for LSU (if not before).

You must not follow recruiting. One of Dooley's strengths is always getting on guys early or first. He did it with Cordarrele Patterson, Nathan Peterman, Jalen Ramsey, Jalen Reeves Maybin, Otha Peters, Dalton Santos, and Donald Gray to name a few. He has never taken a player based on rivals rating.

Also got a verbal from this guy. Seems to be like Santos last year, not a lot of early offers but will blow up after the season.

ETA: Noticed he committed April 20th, not May 20th. Totally forgot
