I see a lot of similarities. Both are very tenacious leaders of men.

One is a lot taller and has no need to wear platform shoes

Does Saban make a habit of putting the game in the hands of a walk on quarterback and screwing up time management against Auburn? If so, yeah exactly the same.

Miami's board thought he was a prick. The same school that employed Jimmy Johnson.

Only a school as historically shitty at football as MSU can grind this hard with a straight face against Bama. If they win, which I can only wish for, the gloating will never cease. If they lose, it's business as usual and they feel like they did their part and annoyed the Gumps.
Grind on, I guess. It's not like even a loss will make you stop anyway.

Saban isn't mistake free either (see ULM & Utah.)
He's learned from those errors and has improved because of it. Just like Dan.
