It is. There is not way on God's green earth that Les is going to run Harris out there to start @ Auburn.
New and unknown is far better than known and shitty. I'm sorry...Jennings is horrible.

I hope and pray LSU starts a true freshman against Auburn, especially one that has gotten very little playing time against legitimate competition up until now
If our defense plays like it did this weekend against AU, we could put Drew Brees under center and it wouldn't matter

Hard to say. It is pretty clear that Harris is the future. The question is whether he is better than Jennings now. The season is not over for LSU with one loss. If we win the rest of our games, we still have a lot to play for.
The MSU game clouded the answer to the question above. Before the game, it was clear that Jennings was our best option. After the game, it appears that Harris may give us a better option.
IMO it will take one more loss for Les to go with Harris full time. I think that loss is coming on the Plains in two weeks. After that, I predict Harris gets the nod the rest of the way, and LSU steadily improves as a result, building for 2015.

It's none of my buisness - but from an outsiders perspective, LSU has more to work on right now than QB. An improved oline and defense could help which ever QB gets the nod vs AU.

No doubt. MSU outclassed us in those categories, especially their Dline against our Oline.
The dline was victimized by a solid scheme and a great athlete at QB. Yes, we need to get better in that department but you could have almost expected that MSU and Dak Prescott would be tough to handle.
The oline is the really disappointing part. These guys were supposed to be really good, but they got absolutely owned by Preston Smith and company (Smith is an elite DT, btw, absolute beast and the best I've seen since Nick Fairley).

Jennings will start Saturday.
From Les lunch conference today
That means he'll get a few series.

The problem is that Jennings can't run the offense and defenses will stack the box. The SEC west is too strong for an offense to be successful with a QB who can only hand it off.

If it was up to me, I'd rather lose games this year and get Harris his reps, than lose games trying to make something work that clearly doesn't while Harris misses out on vital experience.
this is why Harris won't start unless Jennings is injured
but wouldn't surprise me if Les goes to a limited 2 QB system at some point in season

In 56 minutes of play Saturday night, Jennings had 137 yards passing.
In 4 minutes of play Saturday night, Harris has 140 yards passing and two touchdowns.
Despite popular belief, State had most of their starters still in the game (all on the second touchdown) when Harris was playing.
I'd bet my house that the only way Harris starts any game this year is if Jennings is physically incapable of playing.

I will be the minority here and say that I think Les ends up doing the right thing by starting Harris. Is he just going to hand him the starting job right away? No. He doesn't want to kill AJ's confidence right away, because we will need him down the line. But, he made it clear in the PC how impressed he was with Harris and how he definitely is going to get more playing time this week. If he out performs AJ this week....look for the transition to happen much sooner than later. Its just a matter of time.

Very strange if he is not.
Aside from the obvious talent, the kid just looked focused and very sure of himself out there - a natural leader-type guy too.

It is not, but it should be.

Agree 100%. We aren't playoff caliber this year. Let Harris get adjusted now and take his lumps, so we can be ready to compete the next three years. We will lose some games with Harris and win some also, but it will be worth it in the long haul, because Jennings is not the answer at QB. Harris is fresh out of highschool, and overall beat Jennings in the spring. Just think coaches were afraid to play a freshman QB the first few games.
