Is Bielema Doing Enough to Stay on as Coach?

I don't have a good idea on whether he is under more pressure to win or not. I know the fanbase here hates losing to Gus. Is Bret in any danger this year or what does his time frame look like for needing to put up 9 wins. Does he need to do it this year?

Yes. Arkansas fans are content with 8 wins imho

But he isn't getting to 8.

As long as Arkansas wins their super bowl vs LSU he's there for life

He did last year, though. He could do it this year, too, but it will take much more than they have shown thus far.

Bert may need to put out Jen to save his job

It doesn't matter, his buyout is so high that it's unlikely we fire him prior to 2020.

What is it? I was under the impression Arkansas had money like that, so a buyout wasn't an issue.

$15 million if fired prior to 2018. Minimum of $8 million if fired prior to 2020. I'm sure the money is there, but unless the team just totally melts down for a season or two (4 wins or less), I can't see us paying it.

That is pretty high. I wonder what performance would justify making a change.

i say we pay it and start fresh.

His contract is keeping him warm and cozy at night...

I wonder if he has a non-compete that will keep him from taking another job?

Im guessing yall would need a private donation or two to justify it. its a big number for justification

Promising to kiss the arse of our little-man AD is a good start.

I haven't had too many gripes given the dumpster fire he inherited....
... until Saturday.... It doesn't matter who the opposing coach is, a D1 HC can't EVER allow his team to take the field that friggin unprepared and unmotivated.
no excuse for that....

Is there a production motorcycle big enough to hold he and a volleyball player?

3 losses, all by blowout and still two top 25 games left to play, not a good luck for Bert in year 4
