99 percent of bamers that actually care about basketball accused Stansbury of being a cheater at State and now you want him to be an assistant coach at your school. Why am I not surprised?
I still remember dozens or hundreds of bammers calling into Finebaum claiming Stansbury cheated to get Mario Austin. There was also at least 1 other kid from Birmingham bammer claimed Stansbury cheated to get, but his name slips my mind right now

Stansbury was offered the job. He nearly accepted. But the latest rumors from A&M is that he is staying.

I wish. I think stansbury might be propping up kennedy, and I want kennedy gone.
Plus I'm worried about our bullshite ad just naming stansbury as the head coach if he's still on staff when Kennedy shits the bed And finally gets canned. Do not want stansbury as a head coach. basically I'm all for whatever gets Kennedy the frick out of college station.

This is a rare instance where Phan is spot on. It would feel kinda dirty to be ecstatic about hiring Stansbury as an assistant given that Bama fans did think he was dirty (whether he actually was is a completely different story) as a head coach. He is a fantastic recruiter and it isn't like A&M can't pay him just as much as Bama.
Time to triple Mike Davis's salary and bring him home.
