Nick fairly was a 1 hit wonder and I don't even know who he plays for anymore, meaning he has dropped off. Still living in your 1 year of glory I see, we have moved on from 1 player 5 years ago lololol

Terrance Cody may possibly be the best DL I've ever seen in college. The guy could have been in the NFL hall of fame if he had better coaching.
You should watch more than the '09 Tennessee game. Cody wasn't even an every down player for Bama.
Also, I can't believe I am agreeing with TiM, but Fairley was a more disruptive player in college than Dareus but that was his peak. Dareus has continued to improve, which is why he now has QB type money and I'm not sure Fairely even has a job.

Just reminding you guys he isn't the man Fairley was in college. Not even close to Fairley level dominance.
No, you tards wanted to feel relevant for just one second because your entire season has been an epic failure.
It's no surprise that some of the worst AU posters on the site are joining you in getting this thread off topic.

Saban is a good coach. He's a superstar recruiter. Just another example. Dominant player.
He's also a superstar at talent development.
Marcel Dareus was a 3-star. Texas was going to play A'Shawn on the offensive line.

There isn't any difference in the two. A'Shawn has been a huge "surprise".
Our defense the last two years wasn't good. It made our D backs look bad because we got absolutely zero pressure on QB"s in '13 and '14. They just dont have the time to survey the field this year and its causing way less completions and 3rd down conversions. I believe we lead the league this year in stopping teams on 3rd down and 3 and outs. I think we were near the bottom in '13 and '14. Heck, our offense had to score 50 every game last season to make up for shotty D line play.

Good player but honestly he wasn't the best even in Alabama's history. John Copeland, Eric Curry, Marty Lyons all get that in that discussion.
As far as best D lineman in college football history:
Courtney Brown may have been the best I ever saw. Matt Millen would be there as well as Bruce Clark.

Dareus was also hurt for a good portion of his last year, IIRC.

It's funny how aubies are proud of the 2 biggest douchebags this conference has seen in a long time in Cam and Fairley.

Maybe the second best....but he is certainly the dumbest.

No. Urban Meyer is a good coach and superstar recruiter. Saban is a superstar recruiter and superstar coach. The difference is the way his teams handle success. Being in position to win every year and never getting blown out when he does lose is what sets him apart. In about 10 years we may be saying he was the best coach ever, even heaven forbid, better than the Bear.

I'd argue he may already be. Considering he got his four titles within 8 college coaching years, that is very impressive. Especially considering there is more parity (and more games) now than when Bear was coaching.

Maybe, but it's hard to ignore 14 SEC Championships. 13 at Bama and one at Kentucky.
