With Auburn in the East it would mean they could then possibly meet again in the tiltle game

Bama and AU to the east and Mizzou and Vandy to the west and that settles that problem.

Auburn gets lucky and has a good team when they face Florida once every 7 years.

We beat Florida in 2006 when y'all won the National Championship

In 2007 at Florida when y'all were top 5 and Tim Tebow won the Heisman that year

And in 2011 when we were 8-5

And we own the all-time record by 5 games despite only going 3-10 against Steve Spurrier

Undefeated against Meyer. Beat them in their 2006 NC season.

Our last loss to Florida was in Ron Zook's first year

Twice. Auburn beat them in 2006 and 2007.

Wrong

Alabama/Tennessee isn't going anywhere. As long as there's an SEC there will also be a TSIO. Alabama and Tennessee are the foundation the rest of you scrubs piggyback on. Don't forget that because the SEC isn't going to. TSIO Foreva!

hey, i'm in. we shouldn't have expanded w/o a 9 game schedule. we just don't play enough guys in the east often enough.

These are the facts and I concur...

We would keep TSIO anyway because it matters, it's where this conference was built, but the fact that it drives so many so crazy is a bonus that fans of both teams enjoy.

Agree. UT needs to win a game for it to actually be a rivalry.

VOLS have more wins against Alabama than any school in the country iirc

Lock Bama-UT in (and I assume AU-UGA) and let the other 10 teams rotate both cross-division games. They do it in the Pac 12 and Big 10 and no one complains.

WON'T work. As I proved in another thread:
UGA (perm rival AU)....rotates H/A ONCE with SEC West in 12 years.
"other team" (no perm rival).....rotates H/A with SEC West team almost 3X in 12 years (14 will complete a 3 game H/A rotation).

SEC WON'T go for that unfairness.

So Alabama would play the same schedule every year if they were locked into both UT and Auburn from the east. Unless we move to a 9 game conference schedule, that won't work.

Correct. Therefore, I believe NOBODY's conf. schedule will ever change under that plan.

We should go to a nine game schedule, but everyone other than Bama shot it down.

I feel that'll happen soon.

UGA/UF/UK/USC shot it down because we were the only schools with an annual non-conf. P5 rival. Therefore, that tied us up from scheduling anybody for that slot.

Why not Alabama and Auburn both to the East and Send Missouri and Vanderbuilt to the west??

SEC won't separate same-state schools into diff. divisions. Therefore, UK or USC will have to move (unless you make UGA/UF perm rivals for the WLOCP).

TSIO matches the traditional best two SEC programs in what is typically the best month of the Season. Best rivalry in the SEC.
