Yes.

Unless you want a QB to run around in that sissy spread offense. In that case Manziel is better.

Before the A&M game, most people were saying that even though the LSU defense is amazing, they won't face anyone close to the talent of JFF and that he would run all over LSU...

link please.

And I can't answer this question without sounding incredibly biased, but I like that JFF is being compared to the leagues best.

He's definitely better in a pro-style offense. JFF is a dual-threat QB; McCarron is not.

At this point in their respective careers yes AJ is better.

Of course AJ is better.
hasn't thrown one interception and is more of a true quarterback, makes smart decisions and throws an accurate ball.
Johnny has some crazy talent and playmaking abilities but lets state the obvious, HE'S A FRESHMAN! in 2 years he could be the very best
I kinda see him as a poor mans Collin Klein, except much smaller

What would each player look like if they played for the opposite team? AJ to A&M and JF to Bama...

This is what I'm saying. McCarron doesn't have to do all the things Manziel has to do in the A&M offense.

Johnny is most definitely a more valuable player to our offense than AJ is to Bama's i think

Hell to the no. Johnny is capable of carrying an entire team.

The main difference is, AJ is not gonna turn the ball over 4 times.

Sure, I'll jump. Yes, no, maybe, who gives a shite.

Just lay down tomorrow so we can have the hype for next week. #10 A&M vs #1 Alabama. I see it developing...

AJ McCarron makes better decisions and doesn't try to do too much which enables Alabama to have the best chance of winning the football game.

Manziel has better athleticism and is more of a weapon, but due to his ability to create, occasionally he makes bad decisions and creates for the other team.

Right now McCarron is clearly the better QB. However, Manziel has a ceiling that is much higher than McCarron now.

Biggest difference:

Bama's OL >>>>>> A&M's OL

A&M might have the best offensive line in the country, and certainly by far has the best tackle tandem.

As for the OP's question, it's not easy to answer since they are in totally different styles. Apples to oranges. McCarron would suck on A&M's offense, Manziel would suck in Alabama's offense.

I'd like to thank the board for bringing Aj's mom's rack to my attention... Morning sucked until those twins appeared in high def.
and to answer the question, I think Johnny is better. AJ is on a team with more hype, more coverage, and more talent.
To paraphrase what they used to say about the Bear- "Johnny will take yours and beat his, then take his and beat yours."

AJ also never has to take chances. He has the #1 defense in America to take up the slack if Bama has to punt. Johnny doesn't have that luxury. Plus Johnny has thrown the ball almost 100 more times than AJ so far this season.
