You get that a stable is where the horses are kept, not where they are raced, right?

Maybe because there are a abundance of offensive systems centered around isolating guys in one on one situations out in "open space" now. Something not really common 10 years ago

"Resiliency." The word resilience works just fine. That extra Y on the end isn't doing anything.

Also, "pin their ears back." What the heck is that about?

Back shoulder-didn't know I had one. How bout the throw it short because dbs have no fundamentals throw?

In space- used to be open field. You're always in space. Wherever u are you occupy space.

Ball skills- is this the same thing as.....skill?

Going through progressions- wtf is up with this? This is why qbs suck today. Too much coaching. Qbs used to make pre snap reads, then read the coverage as u dropped back, as u set your feet u knew then where u were going with the ball. There was one primary receiver. They were all primary.

Does a DC ever just call a blitz anymore? Or do they always "dial up" a blitz?

RPO is the new buzz acronym this year.

Oh and the "mesh point".

Maybe these are for real new things that are enlightening but I'm a little jaded concerning commentators and analysts now.

When, especially Mark May, states that the receiver caught the ball at its highest point. No, the receiver just out jumped the defender dumbass.

Wow. This thread about football non-words has taught me that most readers of the Rant actually know little to nothing about football or words.

And when did the phrase "in space" become used so often? I don't recall this being used at all 10 years ago.

I hate coaches talking about their "throw game". When did it stop being referred to as a "passing game".

This one has always bothered me, but they are both technically words. I don't know why.

I hate when people talk about "keeping contain."
