Easy solution. Leave. The NCAA is the one that NEEDS the schools. The schools do not need the NCAA anymore.
In order for this to work you will probably need the majority of the schools to leave. The NCAA is the governing body of college football. This means that if the majority leaves they will have to create their own governing body.
My question is how does leaving and reinventing the wheel really solve the problem? It definitely doesn't justify all of the problems it would create.

FWIW I don't think either LSU or Alabama is really a complete team
both have average or below average passing games depending on the day. Both have roughly one WR that puts fear into opponents. And Alabama's special teams are average at best, probably below average
Both are outstanding teams and maybe LSU will end up comparing to some of the best teams in college football history... but neither one is truly complete as in lacking flaws
I agree that neither team is complete because both are lacking at certain positions but like you said, they are great teams and both our defenses make up for what we lack on O.
The Game of the Century part II can't get here soon enough!

Seriously.
I do not see why the plus one isn't implemented. Little change to the current system is required.

BCS was created because of all the examples of top-rated teams not being able to play each other due to bowl affiliations. Remember multiple undefeated teams left the writers saying, "if only we could find a way to get these teams to play."
So, here we are, 14 years or whatever in, and a system designed to get the top teams together that wouldn't otherwise, has matched two teams that have already played each other. Pretty ironic.
BCS matches the top two teams at the end of the year. Nothing changed this year.

Is that why LSU only gained 12 yards of offense and ZERO first downs in first half of the SECCG agaisnt an UGA defense that's not as good as Alabama's?
Are you really dogging a team that won by 32 points in a game you weren't good enough to play in. Really?

Although the primary goal of the BCS was to pit the two best teams against another, it had other goals such as to protect the traditional bowl system, etc. The problem has always been how do we know which are the two best teams? The BCS has tried mightily, to its credit. (And it is still better than a Div II playoff system.) But we already know BAMA is nearly as good as LSU. We don't know whether OKST is nearly as good as LSU. We won't learn anything if BAMA beats LSU, and we won't learn much more if LSU beats BAMA. BAMA had its chance and lost. The BCS voters let the system down this year.

That is your quote not the BCS quote. They don't care who played whom. They just want to two top ranked teams to play for a championship. You LSU boys need to just STFU and accept the rules as you team agreed to.
