Sounds plausible, but if Miss State has been paying big money for players why have they sucked so bad?
Breaking my own rule...what big time recruits has State landed that would be worth paying in the past 5 to 7 years? I cannot think of one...maybe Dixon. I doubt very seriously that Crooms was paying for players. Just doesn't make any sense.
Smells bad to me but given the NCAAs actions yesterday, who knows?

MSU just all the sudden became a good team with a new coach?

Rogers is the wildcard, and he'll eventually sing.

Did the shite posted yesterday from the NCAA not specifically mention that universities are required to sit an athlete the moment they are aware of a violation? So Auburn knew since January, the NCAA knew since July, and Auburn was allowed to play the entire regular season before sitting Cam for one day?
And then the story is that Rodgers went to Auburn boosters for help? This sounds more farfetched than half the shite posted during the bulk of Camgate.

setting up
Mississippi State players with boosters to get paid to play
That sounds plausible. Who have they signed in the past 5 years that would warrant a pay for play? If this was going on, you would think they would have actually signed a 5* player since 2003.

He dropped the price all the way down to 100K before Cecil decided better of it and backed out. Cecil told Auburn everything, and the SEC has known about this since January.
This will not end well at all for Mississippi State.
They had assumed Cam had been paid to go to Auburn, but he is completely innocent.
Not even Auburn fans can be this f'ing stupid and this f'ing gullible to believe this shite.
EVERYTHING will be taken away from Auburn. You will go down in shame. If you win the BCSCG, don't make a trophy case for the crystal football ... it won't be yours for long.

Exactly, If I was the AD at USC i would be raising hell right now. The NCAA has totally gone against everything that is stated in their rule book. If Slive had any balls and wasnt a money hungry bastard, he would go over the NCAA and delcare him ineligable. But we all know he is all about the money and keeping the NC in the SEC

Is that what AU really wants? I remember a radio interview with Rogers saying he didn't talk to AU about Cam, but he had helped place other players there.

If true, think of how ridiculously corrupt this makes the NCAA and SEC look.
They knew about the violation WAY ahead of time and did nothing. Then, during the season, all of this information is made public, and they STILL did nothing. The regular season ends, and suddenly Auburn makes a move to make Cam ineligible, and the NCAA immediately comes back saying "nah it's cool."
It sure as hell looks like the SEC and NCAA are in cahoots to sweep this thing under the rug when it goes down like that.

Let me ask one question to frick this whole thing up...
Why did Cecil Newton lie about shopping his kid around if he never did it?

The FBI is involved in this more than just with McGregor I would think as well. Didn't Bond specifically state after leaving the interview with the FBI was that their (the FBIs) interest was in determining whether prospective student athletes where being paid to play.
If the above cited letter is true, it simply does not make sense that Bond (whom I'm sure if Rogers has been getting money for a while) would not have brought his to the ADs attention.
The more you think about this letter, it just seems like an Auburn fan wrote out all of the allegations against them and then crafted a letter that rather shoddily tries to explain things point by point.
No where in the letter does it explain how Cecil found $100K+ to get his church up to code right after Cam signed.
This is just more of the same rumors and innuendo that has thrived like a runaway virus on this board for two months.

So, Kenny Rogers, representing Cecil and Can Newton approached MM and other Auburn boosters in a pay for play scheme?
Did I read that right?

That was a smart business decision.
