Coach Mac has our guys on the right path even though there's a long way to go. He's the polar opposite of Muschamp and for that, I'm very thankful.

The Gators have six 30-plus-yard passing touchdowns this season, including two tonight
------Florida had five passing touchdowns of 30-plus yards all of last season

For the fourth straight game, Florida’s defense tallied at least three sacks, marking the first time it has accomplished that feat since it reeled off a five-game run of three-plus sacks in 2009

With 11 tackles-for-loss tonight, the Gators have recorded at least seven tackles-for-loss in four consecutive games, which is their longest streak since a run of six games back in 2001

Four different Gators caught touchdown passes tonight, marking the first time since Nov. 21, 2009 against Florida International that many Gators had receiving touchdowns—five different Gators caught a touchdown that night
--------It’s also the first time that happened against an SEC opponent since Oct. 20, 2007 at Kentucky

Tonight is the first time since Oct. 20, 2012 against South Carolina, and only the fourth time since 2005, the Gators accrued four passing touchdowns in an SEC game

With 271 passing yards tonight, the Gators have amassed their highest passing yardage total (1,270 yards) since posting 1,322 yards through the first five games of the 2007 season

This is Florida’s fifth 5-0 start since 1998, and the program’s first such start since 2012
--------In each of their four 5-0 starts during that span (2001, 2006, 2009, 2012), the Gators went on to play in a BCS bowl game

Will Grier is the first Gator since Chris Leak (Sept. 24, 2005 at Kentucky) to throw for four touchdowns in a half

Grier has thrown multiple touchdown passes in four games this year, becoming the first Gator since Tim Tebow (2009 – five times) to record four multi-passing touchdown games in a single season

Nine of Jake McGee’s 16 receptions (56.3 percent) this season have gone for first downs or touchdowns

Jim McElwain is the first Gator head coach to defeat a top-three team in his debut season

I really think this belongs on the Florida board but then again there isn't anyone over there to read it.

You guys are walking around like you got your first hard on. Where were you last year when you had guys blocking each other and literally shitting their pants?

Some people like these kinds of stats/tidbits.

Most will just ignore the thread.

I like seeing these nerdy stats because someone took a lot of time to research them and that's impressive if you ask me.

I love reading all the stats each team puts out in their media books for each game. Lots of good info in there for fans of all teams. I just find some of that info really interesting.

I'm sure LSU puts one of these out (see link). I enjoy reading stuff like this.

Hope you enjoy it too. They are better for games against bigger brands than OM and Miz obviously.

I wouldn't say Mac is the polar opposite of Muschamp. He's just a better HC.

Thank you sir.

All I hoped for really was for some semblance of an offense to appear. It's been a long time coming.

That looked like the old Florida I know. Now I'm worried about our game

I'm worried about that dump truck called LF. When the goal is to hold him under 175 yards, that's terrifying.

The dude was legitimately sick and stuck it out. If you haven't shite yourself at least once as a grown man you are sheltered.

Well, we progressed to preventing ANYONE from scoring, including our teammates

I enjoy such posts for all teams (SEC teams that is).

From this, it would seem that both the offense and the defense is improved over the last group of coaches. That is a bit surprising considering everyone thinks Muschamp is a defensive genius. His D at Texas as poor his last couple of years there. Auburn's defense is damaging that reputation, and if Florida's defense proves to be better, we should rethink what we believe about Muschamp.
