Also. Conveivently leaving out what Cam did in spite of his terrible head coach really validifies the whole SEC dominance thing. His argument doesn't work when a team that had in recent history been fighting for 5th or 6th in the league wins a Natty. It proves parity. No team fighting for 5th or 6th wins a Natty in any other league. Parity is parity.

Saban, Miles[..]. These are our SEC overlords worth bowing down to. These are the guys to exalt. It comes as a relief that the rest of the SEC can play well or suck just like us mere mortals. To which I say: Amen.

True, and edited to make it even truer.

Meyer is a fricking quitter and Nick and Les are the standard-bearers of our conference, like it or not.

Why give this idiot any hits to his site?

Last season

Kansas got 66 points hung on them by Georgia Tech last season
Georgia Tech got 31 points hung on them by Georgia last season

He points out Ole Miss, Kentucky, and Auburn without Cam yet the mighty Big 12 does not play the better SEC schools unless forced to by a bowl. Schedule a solid mid level SEC school before brining that weak arse sauce to the internet.

I would venture that all the bottom feeders in the SEC are still better than Kansas. As for TCU lets wait and see if they can finish the season with 1 or 2 losses in a AQ conference vs the non AQ conference they came from. Talk is cheap so if you want to talk the talk then schedule better teams.

SEC vs. Big 12 in bowls the last six years: (* indicates team who changed conferences)

2006: Oklahoma State over Alabama (0-1)
2006: Auburn over Nebraska* (1-1)
2007: Alabama over Colorado* (2-1)
2007: Missouri* over Arkansas (3-2)
2008: Ole Miss over Texas Tech (4-2)
2008: Florida over Oklahoma (5-2)
2009: Georgia over Texas A&M* (6-2)
2009: Ole Miss over Oklahoma State (7-2)
2009: Alabama over Texas (8-2)
2010: LSU over Texas A&M* (9-2)
2011: Arkansas over Kansas State (10-2)

The only win over an SEC school by a Big 12 team that didn't join the SEC was in 2006.

You really don't know what Grantland is? There's a bunch of articles on the site by dozens of different writers. He may be shortchanging the SEC a bit, but he's got a point that when it comes to true overpowering continual SEC dominance it's all about Saban, Miles, Meyer, and Cam, arguably the greatest WAR player in CFB history

Yep. It's 100% true that if you disregard the last six straight national championships by four different SEC schools, the SEC isn't as dominant. Groundbreaking.

Obvious troll is obvious.

Sure if you discount all the NC's and what the better teams have done then suddenly the SEC doesn't look so strong. You can make excuses all day long if you try hard enough.

Here is the thing though. The SEC is on top and has been there for a while. More than that though it is getting stronger and stronger while other conferences are getting weaker. Look at any list that matters. Money. Facilities. Fan support. TV Ratings. TV Contracts. The SEC dominates. The SEC is also winning the war of demographics. All the best high school football is in the SEC now that Texas is an SEC state.

What is scary is what now looks like a big gap is about to become a canyon. The new SEC Network and TV deals will likely end up with the SEC teams making 2 times or greater what the other conferences make and having more teams in the playoff and Chamions/BCS games it is going to be a canyon. Since the SEC Network will likely be an ESPN partnership they will also dominate all the coverage.

The SEC is becoming NFL lite.
