it would be nice to see the coach calling for it to be sure, but UGA did it in the AU game in 2010, so not surprised.

I surprisingly don't really care.

Probably because Bama doesn't run a HUNH

Dude got hit in the nuts like a minute before. It's better for him to go down than to try and run off the field

Is this a serious response?

Did they use an ambulance to transport him?

Were they able to save him?

Sudden cardiac death is not uncommon among young athletes. To protect the players we should require hospital evaluation for all sudden collapses.

I hope the young man lived through it. Must have been tough on his family and the other players to watch him collapse like that.

Since you're posting things that are 3 days old, I'm sure you've also seen the video of him take a cleat to the sack just before.

And Richt has said publicly before something like, paraphrasing, "back in older times, when a guy would get hurt, he'd try to tough it out and get himself off the field. But in today's game, it's more of a safety thing to where we tell our guys that if you're hurt, let our staff come take a look at you instead of trying to get off the field and maybe do more damage" or something like that.

And I'm sure the aubies are going to misinterpret that, but anyone with some reading comprehension can see that that is NOT the same as saying "hey if the offense is going too fast fake an injury LOL". He's saying if you are actually hurt (which in this case, floyd was, as already mentioned), to not risk further injury. And that's what Floyd did. This is such a non-issue it's ridiculous.

I watched a LSU player start to walk off of the field and the training staff stopped him, then proceeded to check on his eyes, ears, and anything else until about 30 seconds had passed. As if they couldn't do that on the sidelines.

Then I saw after an LSU touchdown, one of the O-Lineman went down, but he was helped up by teammates and he quickly hobbled off of the field. No delay needed.

I don't believe you, only UGA players do this sort of nonsense.

So a guy that is walking off the field without issue after allegedly getting hit in the nuts needs to stop in his tracks turn back to the field and fall on the ground to avoid further injury? Is this what you are trying to convince me of?

I'm not trying to convince you of anything. I'm telling you what our coach has said publicly before relating to this type of situation. The player in question was asked about this yesterday and he said he started off the field and couldn't take the pain anymore.

You can say I'm wrong or whatever, but all I have to go on is what our coach and this particular player has said.

I keep asking all the Auburn fans who are so angered by this is faking an injury against the NCAA rulebook? I haven't got an answer yet.

this is rich seeing you guys taking Richt's explanation of it. Dude was standing up just fine. I'd understand if he had slowly gotten up but I haven't seen anything to that effect.

I had a o-line buddy in college who was real good at figuring out when we needed an injury timeout. Didn't need any coaching from the sideline, he'd just check the game clock and go down.

Trainers would run out and he'd be laying there repeatedly telling them he was fine. All part of the game, every team does it and some are better at selling it than others.
