I know people dgaf, but honestly, would Bama still be # 1 if they lost Jones, Fluker and Warmack and had to play backups this year on the o line?

I am not sure they are, although they have recruited well obviously.

It's irrelevant. Injuries happen on every team. It's part of football.

Nick Saban coaches his players not to get injured.

Probably not. We lost Mike Johnson and Andre Smith before/during the Sugar Bowl and ended up getting rolled by Utah. We couldn't run the football and John Parker Wilson didn't have the arm to really make a difference through the air.

The offensive line is where it's at.

Having a line won't make Mett suck much less.

are you making excuses already? Is that what's happening here?

How would we know the answer to that?

Yes, because it wouldn't have translated into a loss yet. Maybe this game, but not before.

UA would be called for holding at least once this season under that scenario.

no excuses, part of the game, just hear the locals on the radio say we can't do crap on o cause of the injuries on the o line and how that affects the passing game because of max protect where we have a two or one receiver pattern.

I think going into the year the lines were where we couldn't afford injuries. We are loaded at RB and worst case anyone can play QB to just hand the ball off if the line can block. D line has been injury free but not the o line.

So what I gather is yes, it would and does matter.

If you think that is going to get it done against Bama, you are deluded

I would say these three are head and shoulders better than the three we had go down. I actually think our O-line has played well after the Florida game.

Here's a real brain buster for you. Would Bama have beaten LSU on 1/9 if Maze hadn't gotten injured which resulted in Norwood coming in to scorch the honey badger?

This would make sense if the best offensive performance to date by lsu wasn't with a patchwork o-line making their first start together. The lsu line didn't look like world beaters before the injury at all, doesn't seem like there has been much if any dropoff

This. Too early to play the 'what-if' game already.

Every team has injuries, some more than others, its part of the game.
