Maybe you guys could do another M somewhere on campus with the scraps of all the destroyed Confederate monuments. Show those flakes that you're not gonna take it anymore, MAGA, etc.

Keep the rocks and implode the stadium. Everybody wins.

Nope, rocks are gone. Ask anyone here.
Yep. It's a dirty shame since the M turns 90 this year.
Oct. 1, 1927
The landmark Rock ‘M’ debuts at Memorial Stadium after members of the freshman class construct it with leftover rocks from the stadium project. The monument stood 90 feet wide by 95 feet high and has watched over the field ever since that day, when Mizzou defeated Kansas State, 13-7.

That 1927 game was Bill Snyder's debut as the head coach at Kansas State. True story.

I thought the new construction was in the south end zone. Why would they need to get rid of the rocks in the north end zone?
Posted on 8/27/17 at 9:42 am to Go State Go State
We confuse the North and the South at Mizzou.

Well played Remote Controlled! Have an up vote for some well need humor in a sea of sh*tposts.
No wonder they were protesting tho. Rocks started out black then the white folks in CoMo took to "white" washing them.
Have not seen that much white in one picture since Casper, the friendly ghost.

If I could think of a tradition I cared about less than this, it would be amazing.

So they are going to wait until after the 90th anniversary to take it down?
Hopefully so, they may give me time to get up there and take a picture or something.
I will truly miss the M

Make the most of a bad situation Mizzourites.
So what you do is have all of those rocks busted-up into #57 stone sized pieces ... like they use on gravel roads. Have your chain gangs come in and do it with sledge hammers - the old fashioned way. Send a fricking message to the SJWs on campus by god.
Ok, so once you've got a pile of gravel you package each piece in a nifty black box with a white block M on the package. Sell'em as memorabilia for $9.95 each. Hell, tell'em some crazy relic story about spilled blood on the rocks ... sell'em for $19.95 each and include a pinch of grass from the hill and the field sprinkled over the pet Mizzou rock.
Your Athletic Department could use the extra cash and y'all could hold onto a piece of history. Hand your rocks down to your grandchildren and promise them that they will all be called upon one day to gather and re-lay the sacred white rocks on hallowed ground bringing the M back to life,
Everyone wins. School makes money, gives the Missouri fans a purpose in life, develops a little SEC style legend for the program ... hell, you may even have some white rock Jayhawks counterfeiters come in and add to the legend.

frick, can't Mizzou go to the AAC or some shite? What an embarrassment

If we were actually getting rid of the Rock M, I'd prefer loading up all the rocks on a C-5 and flying over Lawrence for a "Humanitarian Rock Drop".
The AD could sell tickets, everyone gets a chance to throw a rock out of the cargo bay onto the kU athletic facilities, especially Allen Fieldhouse.
That would be the only proper way to dispose of the Rock M.

They'll probably be better of than OM for the next decade or so, and that's saying something.

You're SEC now goshdammit ... Kansas is lower than worm slime. Charlie Wiess has coached there. Get a fricking grip. No SEC team has ever employeeee..... oh, errrrr, wait.
Did the fricking Gators really put Wiess on their payroll? First thing our AD told mUSChamp was, "if you even say the words Charlie Wiess I'll throw a beatin' on your crazy arse.'

Scrooster, while you're probably right, and we need to grow out of our juvenile Big6/8/12 phase...
Tell me you wouldn't rock bomb the taters old man.
It is what it is with kU, that ain't ever gonna change. They'd do the same to COMO if you gave them the chance.

It's not politically correct these days. Only the flexible survive.
Make money ... not war.
