They were talking about Clemson's 2020 Football schedule. They pointed out two things that were true and very telling about Clemson.
First they talked about how the ACC was protecting Clemson. First by scheduling the BC game on a Friday to give Clemson an extra day to prepare for FSU and their bye week is now before Norte Dame. Traditionally, it's before the South Carolina game.
Secondly, they made this statement. Surprisingly, I don't even think they realize they're admitting how bad the ACC is. Paraphrasing here..... Let's talk about the meat of the Clemson schedule. The part where their schedule starts to get very difficult.......... January 1st when they go to the Rose Bowl to play Alabama in the Semifinals.
This is the mindset here. They know they do not play anyone all year. And I have to admit, wanting to play Bama in the playoffs is dumb. If coach Saban wants to play just one more game, it's against Clemson.

If you need extra time to prep for FSU, you should forfeit any invitation to the playoffs.

If your AD is smart enough or has enough pull, then do it.
2007 LSU did this with MSU (thurs) before VaTech. Smoked both of them.
On the same side, NOBODY should bag on the sec for scheduling Utah state/western Carolina/rice before a big game.....regardless if it’s game 1 or game 11.
We are the sec and need any advantage we can get

Well they've been doing this for years now, minus that one ACC game a year where they almost go down.

It sounds like you were listening to a pro-Gamecock radio station.
The truth is the ACC was bad the last two years, but the few years prior had some decent teams. If FSU or Miami gets their stuff together any time soon its a different story.
Prior to the last two years, Clemson had a run where its strength of schedule was better than UofSC's... but everyone wants to ignore that little fact.
This board is ate up with Clemson.

That craptastic schedule also comes with a ton of pressure.

Nope! It was all about the Greatness of Clemson football. The arrogance displayed was actually enjoyable. You would think the LSU beatdown never happened listening to them.

You are welcome to stay on a real site as long as you choose. Thank God you are in the ACC. Clemson's season doesn't start until January for the past 3 years. Admit it, You are a 1 to 2 loss team every year in the SEC.

Don’t know who you are referring to .. in the SEC west most teams play at least four difficult cases and depending on the year and OOC schedule 6.
In 2020 LSU shapes up to play 5 tough games. Auburn and TAM five as well. Bama plays three(4 if you count USC).
One commenter referred to LSU moving a game with Miss st to a Thursday to prepare for a tough game with VT.. one the game with Miss St was a made for TV move not LSU decision. And LSU torched VT 48 to 7. Not a tough game.
