Did he ever get the blood out of his clothes where they got stained when he stabbed Johnny Majors in the back?

Bear went 0-5-2 against Neyland.
Neyland retired in 1952
Bear started at Alabama in 1958

Your point is a bit misleading but Bear did not have his 1st 10 win season at Alabama till the early 1960's. If Neyland went another decade at TN, pretty sure it would not have gone Bear's way.

It's not misleading at all. The talking point that Neyland owned Bryant while not mentioning they only played while Bryant was at Kentucky is what is misleading.

Well, for one, he didn't start at Alabama until 1958. He went 7-2-2 and finished 10th in 1959 (year 2) and went 8-1-2 and finished 9th in 1960 (year 3). He then went 11-0 and finished 1st in 1961 (year 4).

10 win seasons were uncommon in general. The regular season was only 10 games long. A lot of teams didn't even play that many.

Interesting stats George. You might want to remind everyone what happened in year 4.

1950 = 11-1 | Bear @ Kentucky in 1950, but did not beat Neyland that year

Neyland @ Tennessee
(lots of 9 win seasons)
1938 = 11-0
1939 = 10-1
1940 = 10-1
1941 - 1945 interrupted by WWII
1947 - 1949 rebuilding years
1950 = 11-1
1951 = 10-1
1952 = Neylands last season

Bryant had 4 10-win seasons in his first 10 seasons at Alabama.

He finished in the Top 10 8 of his first 10 seasons at Alabama. He finished in the Top 5 5 of his first 10 seasons at Alabama. He finished #1 in the Coaches or AP poll 3 of his first 10 seasons at Alabama.

Neyland beat Bryant at Kentucky. That's fine. Neyland was great. But to act like he would have beat him at Alabama, as if what Bryant had at Kentucky and at Alabama are similar, is silliness.

I know, he had better at Kentucky

That UK team beat an Oklahoma team that had not lost in 3 years

Yea the 1950 team was great. Outside of 1950 Bryant went 17-17-4 in the SEC at Kentucky.

In his 8 years at Kentucky he went 22-19-4 (51%) and won 1 SEC Title and 0 national titles.

In his first 8 years at Alabama he went 45-9-5 (80%) and won 3 SEC Titles and 2 national titles.

Come on.

8 MNCs in 10 years or whatever it’s up to and Fulmer still rustles them.

Incredible.
