I just find it funny when either side acts like they know how the game would be changed if Kiffin would have stayed. I agree that if you kept him through Washington game than it would have probably been better to just stick with him though.

I'll paste what i posted in another thread

Alabama lost a whopping 3 games with Lane Kiffin as OC in 3 years. That's less losses than 13 of the 14 SEC teams had just this one season. I don't recall an OC being canned a week before a national championship (from an undefeated team nonetheless), and the one time masterful Nick Saban does it, he loses his very first national championship game.

Lane Kiffin could've very well called the game of his life last night, but Alabama fans will refuse to ponder the thought as they have convinced themselves they would've lost by more because their offense didn't look so great against Washington.

Alabama also averaged nearly 30 points in those 3 losses

I won't pretend to know anything. But GC's post really sums up my thoughts as well.

If you're gonna do it, do it before the semis

I agree completely

I believe after that, it was too late. I understand Bama still put up 31, but the way Hurts played combined with his youth....not ideal to have a new OC right before the biggest game of that kid's life.

Interesting facts and there is no doubt that overall Kiffin was great for Bama. There is so much that goes on behind the scenes that no one will ever know. Like I said earlier though, I agree that the move should have been made prior to the postseason if possible.

Don't think kiffin would have done any better. We had no passing threat and lost our stud rb to injury. We led the game late in the 4th, just couldn't get a stop. We did enough on offense to win
