It actually looks like it has something more to do with Paulley Pavillion however because it seems that it's a multi-use facility
it isn't

I just did a google image search and found pictures of the banners being down and also of gymnastics being held in there with gymnastics banners up instead. No clue how old those are.

Well, they hang gymnastic banner, volleyball banners in there as well.

So, they either use it for many events, or they're bass akwards

I have a tendency to think of Kentucky in to SEC Basketball what Bama is to football.

But yeah, not so much. We don't have runner-up flags flying at BD stadium, either.

Pauley Pavilion is used for gymnastics, volleyball, and basketball.

quote:

Pauley Pavilion is regarded as one of the finest all-around collegiate facilities in the nation and has been the site of numerous illustrious events. It is also the primary facility for UCLA men's and women's basketball, men's and women's volleyball, and women's gymnastics. Pauley Pavilion was introduced to the University at the June 1965 Commencement exercises, at which time it was dedicated and named for Regent Edwin W. Pauley, the principal donor to the building fund. The arena underwent a $136-million renovation from 2010-12. New Pauley Pavilion contains seating for approximately 13,800 spectators.

You would think that with how good they are at volleyball and gymnastics that they would have gotten them a separate facility by now.

I guess Duke, North Carolina, and Kansas must not be "elite" for hanging anything other than NC banners too.

What about a 1941 flag?

There's a reason why UCLA fans hate our AD. That and we have never been the biggest donors when it comes to athletic facilities

You really can't put Kentucky in the same conversation with those programs though.

The only program you could put above them is UCLA.

And even that's debatable considering Kentucky has won championships in multiple decades with multiple coaches. I'd say UCLA had the best dynasty but Kentucky arguably has the better program.
