AJ won the Maxwell, was named a First Team All American in 2013 by 2 of the 5 major publications, and was the Heisman Runner Up.
That said, if Bama had a truly transcendent talent at QB with the talent at every other position, it'd get ugly real quick for opposing teams.

Why would an elite QB want to come to Bama? Most Elite QBs want to throw the ball not hand it off 60% of the time-- its the same reason LSU struggles a bit in recruiting top tier QB prospects.
