They had great receivers but no serviceable QB.

If you had told me in 2011 that LSU would have a Heisman winning quarterback and not win the national championship I would have laughed.

Forget Daniels, just put an average QB and functional playcalling.

…. & a coach who didn’t over-practice all of his players before a NC game.

If they had Daniels on the 2011 team it would have been LSU's greatest team of all time over 2019. Defense was basically an NFL roster as was Bama's. May never see defenses like that ever again.

Assuming the coaching staff wouldn’t force him under center and do 157 toss dives every game, that 2011 team with JD5 would have been NASTY.

Unfortunately those two teams were fielded in the same season. Any other season, those teams would have both been undefeated.

How would 2011 LSU and Alabama defenses standup today against these high powered offenses today. I’d love to see it.

Miles would have had Jayden playing corner. He didn't value offensive skill positions unless they were running back. He got receivers but I could get receivers from Louisiana to come to LSU. Never forget he recruited one of the best QB's in the country at the time in Russell Shepherd and had no idea what to do with him. He also wanted Jamar Chase as a corner.
