Let's start tackling the real issue here, logistics.
If Alabama doesn't exist, how will I get from Georgia to Mississippi? What is in it's place? Just an open expanse of land, similar to west texas? A big pit with a single bridge to drive across? Will the gulf just run right on up to tennessee?
I gotta say this whole proposition seems a little far fetched. Although, if GA could get some ocean to our west that'd be kinda cool I think.
