We'll know a lot more about the Rebs and Sims both after Saturday. Should be a fantastic game on a day of fantastic games.

What's the Rant's opinion ?

I think Sims will be ready by game time. I keep seeing OM posters say that Blake is going to get crushed by your defensive line. You guys do realize that he has been sacked like once this whole year, right? The dude is VERY hard to get to.

I'm more worried about Derrick Henry. The way your warm butter rush defense has been playing, Henry may be too exhausted to return after halftime.

Bama has been there, done that.

Ole Miss hasn't been there in over 40 years.

Bama will blow the doors off Ole Miss, but I will still be pulling for Ole Miss.

Bama has played - and won - most of their games in hostile environments.

38-17 - and will not even be that close

That is true, but no one in their right mind tries to argue that Ole Miss is a tough place to play. All 55,000 Ole Miss fans really scare the pants off the opponent.

It's still a road game. A lot Bama players have played a ton of big games, so most won't be rattled or anything, but Sims hasn't.

Road games are tougher than home games. We, like everyone else, plays better at home than on the road.

Not sure why this is so hard to accept, it's Football 101.

actually, Alabama has played just as good on the road as they have at home since Saban has been there. Maybe even better.

This. I don't expect us to win, because I think Bo is still coming into his own after completely revamping his throwing motion, but our defense will keep us in the game.

There is an argument to be made that playing on the road in the SEC is a little overrated and that Alabama plays a little better on the road. Meanwhile Ole Miss players will have to deal with all of the distractions around campus this week.

I hope so. I'm looking forward to a great game. If we win, great. If we lose, we move on. I never would have thought when Freeze was hired, we would be a Top 10 team in the nation five weeks into the season, prepping for Bama with Gameday coming to town.

I'm not saying Bama is a bad road team by any means, it's just that this game will likely be nothing like the last 2 seasons @ Bryant-Denny.

you guys likely will not touch him. he has been sacked exactly 1 time this season, and that was only because the pass blocking held up for like 7 seconds and then he happened to run right where cam rob had to release the d lineman or commit holding. the only reason he hurt his should was he didnt slide after a 20+ yard scramble and the defender fell on top of him.

Bama has lost 1 road game since 2010. I think they'll be OK in Oxford. Should be a good test, though.

I can't see Wallace playing well enough to give the rebs a chance.
