Someone started an early one last week and it managed to hang around. Perhaps 8EST is acceptable, but traditionally anything prior to 8CST (+- ~10 minutes) is whacked.
As for your requests, It took me a solid 2 weeks before I got access to the AU board and I had backing from a few AU posters. If you have little or no backing it probably won't happen quickly or at all.

I just picked up a 3 pack of those tall boy cans. Same amount of beer as a six pack, but for $1.50 less money. I think my life just got better with this discovery.

I'm literally just sitting on my bed listening to Hank III and drinking beer. Nobody wants to do anything tonight. More dead than even a normal Tuesday night. 
Also, calculus sucks. Which is why I took it at the crappy CC back home.

Not talking bad, and I'm sure it may have been discussed before, but I don't think I'll ever understand how attending a university doesn't trump your upbringing as a fan of a different university.
