What Mizzou and Pinkel have done in the Big-12 and SEC the last two decades is fabulous, Top 15 stuff.

Parity is here, you underestimate what Mizzou, Ark, Ole Miss, SoCar, MSU, and even TAM,etc..have in potential to join the Big 6. The kids are coming to the SEC..Bama can't sign them all! The day is coming soon when one of those programs will cash hardware. Old Myth and MSU's play level was at that level for stretches of this year.

You overachieved this year

I'm not sure any SEC team has won a championship since the start of the BCS era without at least getting some top ten recruiting classes first. We've seen this before... a team of 3*s gets in the SECCG when their division is down (see arky in the Nutt years) and gets a beat-down from the 4/5* team.

We thought we might finally see an exception to this rule with MSUs this year, but no.

If you are not going to recruit top 10 classes then you need to get your expectations in line with reality. Be thankful that you had a really good year based on your talent level.

Honestly Mizzou's best bet would be to Tie for the East at 11-1 and not go to the SECCG. Let someone else get curbed stomped by the West Champ and just hope we sneak into the top 4.

I just don't see us beating the West Champ anytime soon.

Yes I'd have rather they won than lost, but they made the SECCG in a rebuilding year. They stole the East.

All this game highlighted was just how high the mountain is in the SEC.

We're in Year Three of a long-term project and are by any metric ahead of schedule vs. expectations coming in.

All that remains to be seen is if Pinkel can see the project through to completion.
