I never was a big fan of Diaz. His scheme might work elsewhere but not in the Sec. Tony Hughes was a big loss but who can blame him for taking a head coaching job. I'm glad Miami called Diaz to go home to his hometown because his chit did not work.

You ought to know, even though we beat you look how many points you scored. Case closed!

Think State is moving to a 3-4 or staying with the 4-3?

That is actually a good question. I assume as most teams do it will be dictated on what they believe the talent is in the front 7.

I do know this, although some will be a little more raw, the secondary has not been more talented from a standpoint of pure ability.

Yeah just wondering with the new DC hire. With our O we really wouldn't see it much just would be interested to see the transition.

I can tell you really like the new hires by the way you didn't even mention them, just gave reasons why you don't like the coaches who left.

Without Dak this year ya'll will need a legit defense.
Diaz wasn't much.

As if I need to post hires on a forum where everyone in the Sec knows who is doing what 24 hours a day lol.

I'm very high on Nick Fitzgerald replacing Dak but it's true, no experience like true experience. One thing I do know is Dan will produce a QB. Always has, always will. The ? Is will the OL be better.

Now that Staley is focusing only on football, Fitz needs to look out. Staley has all the tools to be great.

No the question is.
Can your new QB that's has never started a game (?) come in and play at HALF the level that the greatest QB in school history was able to do.

Just curious. What were your thoughts on Collins? Most MSU people seemed to have the "good riddance" attitude when he left as well.
He did ok at UF this year. I think the secondary had some issues at times. But that could also be tied to when AMac our pass rush specialist wasn't playing. I expected defensive recruiting to be a little better under him as well. I thought that was supposed to be a strong point for him.

Meh, Give me John Bond as the best MSU QB I ever saw.

Geoff Collins was a good DC. Much better than Diaz. Both shared 75% in defensive beliefs but Collins deff was the better of the two.

Bond made things happen considering he relied more on defense. I wouldn't say he was better than Dak. But hell, back in those days Msu was known for defense, not offense. It's incredible what he achieved considering...
