Count me as one of the Ags who was around when we played each other yearly.
I don't particularly give a lick how anyone chooses to characterize the relationship between the two schools (i.e., rivalry); all I know is it was a damn good series, and I'm glad it's back.
I'm pretty sure no one is worried--on either side of the Sabine.
And yes ... these threads are beyond horrible.

All aside, I do enjoy A&M and all the shite that follows. Kinda cool story I recently experienced:
This winter I took an intersession course and had to meet with the counselor regarding scheduling for this spring. As I was standing in the lobby, three older men walked in and stood behind me.
While waiting a good 10 min for this student worker at the desk to figure their shite out, the guys & I started conversing. I turned around & asked why they were in the undergraduate office and they laughed & told me that two of them were LSU Alums and the other was an A&M guy. They were somewhat discreet with their job positions but told me they worked for Waste Management & Anadarko. I didn't know much about WM therefore focused more on the Anadarko guys because I recently had a friend who moved to the Woodlands for a finance gig at Anadarko.
Well, after leaving I decided to look them up & ends up the Waste Management (WM) gentleman was a LSU graduate & is their CEO and the other two Anadarko guys (1 LSU graduate & 1 A&M 'former student') were both VP's of Anadarko. Well, Mr. Meloy (A&M guy) was pretty damn cool & joined along to tour our new BEC & do something in regards to our engineering college expansion that's about to break ground.
Yeah, Yeah, :csb: but I wanted to say that I've always had good experiences with your fanbase outside of the interwebs
eta: To our mutual love for black gold. I have to say I am jealous our endowment isn't attached to it

It's going to a shitshow. I've been glancing every day or so to see when it's going to appear on the PB. The last I've seen they're expecting cuts of $200-300 M in higher education with a total $1.3 B shortfall for the FY. Hopefully this will be an an end to our over-saturated nonperforming universities. Shut them down
IIRC, LA budget committee anticipated $80/B and today we stand at $48, eh
