Funerals for older people never bother me. It's the ones for people 50 and under that get to me.

I'm fortunate, I can't say I've ever been to one for someone under 50. The worst I've had to do was a 70 year old that was mayor of my hometown, best friends with my dad, and an all around great guy. He went out to he state park and shot himself in the chest with a 30/30. I had to get fricked up just to emotionally handle it.

depends how well i knew the person and how they died. of course if i dont know them well im not all that likely to go because i would just feel awkward.

I've been to a funeral for 2 people under 22. One died in Afghanistan and the other in a car wreck. Lets just say I hope I never have to go to another.

I've been to about 8 or 9 for friends and classmates. 3 while I was still in high school. I'm numb to it at this point.
